Chelsea Gardens Hotel Apartments

The staff at the hotel was attentive to my needs and indeed, very helpful. Rachel, the receptionist was extremely cooperative and hospitable; she made the check-in process quick. The prices were very reasonable compared to other similar 4 star apartment hotels. This one was sheer value for money.

Coming down to the rooms, which were notably spacious and had all the facilities such as a washer, dryer, refrigerator, kitchen supplies, microwave and some nice modern furniture. This made cooking and doing the laundry fairly simple and completely removed the hassle of getting the laundry done and finding a good restaurant for food. The room wasn’t gaudy in any way – decorated in neutral shades it was quite calming. The balcony overlooked the ‘Discovery Gardens’ which were aesthetically pleasing to look at each morning.

The hotel had an array of services and amenities making the stay as comfortable as possible. There was free wi-fi access in all the public areas of the hotel and access in the rooms for a minimal fee – exactly what I needed. Just across the street was the Geant hypermarket from where I purchased my daily groceries and they sold everything – from pin to piano. The ‘Ibn Battuta Shopping Mall’ with its historical charm and beautiful architecture was a short walk away; I was visiting the mall almost every day mainly for the food court which had a wide variety of restaurants and chains. I really loved the European and Asian cuisine served by the in-house restaurant ‘Wharf’ that I happened to try on multiple occasions.

The scrumptious breakfast buffet (which I may add, was included in the rate) was served fresh and hot every morning and the menu was different each day. The breakfast was sufficient enough that sometimes I would even skip lunch. The hotel had a 24 hour room service and the butlers were very prompt in their response to any request.

The warm touch, convenient location and affordable prices made it a great place for me to stay for an extended period of time. I stayed in the Chelsea Hotel Apartments on a number of occasions since then, and has become my favorite each and every time, be it a business visit or a family trip to Dubai.

Last minute all inclusiveholdiays & off season all inclusive holidays

These are the all inclusive holidays to look at if you are looking for good deals. Last minute holidays require a prior booking period of four weeks not less. Although regular scheduled airline charges increase for last minute flights, chartered flights which operate on all inclusive holidays sell last minute deals mainly to sun destinations. Off season all inclusive holidays are greatly enjoyed and highly ranked by trip advisory sites. Favorite destinations include the Caribbean, Mexico etc.

How to have the best all inclusive holiday

  • Look for the best names in holiday providers in the business
  • Book early and as a group
  • Choose a suitable resort. If there are no children, go for an adults only resort and vice versa. Children will enjoy at a resort that have activities and amenities provided for their enjoyment.
  • Get to know the resort before hand. Don’t choose a resort which is far from civilization.
  • Be prepared for costs that have not been considered, like the cost of visiting specialty restaurants in the resort, consumption of imported liquor, using game tables – You mostly have to pay for these as well as excursions, laundry, massages, beauty treatments and internet
  • Travel off season, and keep an eye out for sales
  • Consider travel insurance for medical emergency, emergency evacuation and repatriation and trip cancellations.
  • Take the help of the concierge and advantage of their knowledge regarding local attractions.
  • Make dinner reservations for a high end restaurant at the resort you wish to visit
  • Ask if your food can be packed if you are setting out for the day
  • Ask for any amenities that might be missing eg. Baby cots
  • Be clear about the tipping policy by observing others and asking at the front desk.

Find The Best Long-Term Villa Rentals

Regardless of the different options available, villas tend to be the most popular choice for people in need of long-term accommodation. This is thought to be because villas combine the basic elements of a hotel stay with the luxury of having your own space to inhabit – almost like a serviced home.

That said, you can pick and choose what kind of villa you stay in, and you don’t have to have maids, butlers or chefs at your whim. Similarly, some of these properties come with pools, spas, gyms and home cinemas – whereas others are more basic in their offering. Whatever you’re looking for, there is bound to be a villa out there to match your needs.

The best place to start looking for accommodation is online. Here, you will be able to spend time surveying the different options available to you, as well as comparing prices between providers. If you can’t find a list of long-term rentals on the company’s website, it’s best to contact them over the phone to discuss whether this kind of let is an option.

Many people buy villas overseas because they are an incredibly worthwhile investment, with many being cheaper than in the UK or US. While owners will typically use them for their own holidays, they may also choose to rent them out while they’re not in use, generating an income and making sure the home remains looked after.

In order to ensure that the property is being kept to a high standard and is safe and secure, many owners will employ a rental agency to manage it in their absence. They will provide you with a point of contact, much like a letting agency would if you were renting a home to live in. You should be able to find details of available rentals on the agency’s website.

The agency should therefore be located in close proximity to where you’re staying in case there is an emergency or you need assistance. They may go one step further than this and actually supply the staff to clean, cook and wait on you during your stay.

These services can provide you with a much-needed break from day-to-day life, or allow you to get on with working, exploring, or whatever you planned to do when you arranged your trip away. If budget is an issue, talk to your chosen accommodation provider to see if they can provide minimal services that won’t break the bank.

Most long-term holiday homes will ask for rent to be paid on a monthly basis, similar to a property you might rent back home. When looking online, properties should be ordered on a monthly rental price basis – from lowest to highest – but may also be arranged in accordance with your size and location preferences.

If you can’t find anything that fits within your specifications, it’s best to get in touch with the agency directly as they may have other options available.

Eco-Design Hotel

In tourist accommodations, the green trend is growing, whether it’s an eco-resort cabana on a beach in Mexico, a rental yurt in an Austrian forest, or a green-theme city hotel.

I recently enjoyed a stay at a green hotel in one of the greenest cities in the world, Amsterdam. It’s a city where bikes rule the streets, public transportation is excellent, and people still rely on their own two feet to get around. My stay at the Conscious Hotel was an education in how a business can make environmentally conscious and healthy choices in its furnishings, food, and overall operation.

With two locations in Amsterdam, Conscious Hotels strive to be as green, sustainable and eco-friendly as possible. They say they’re more hip than hippy, which does reflect the cool, modern look and attitude of the hotel and its staff. I stayed at Conscious’ Vondelpark location, which is named for the neighboring park. The city’s largest green space, Vondelpark is a tranquil green paradise for walking, biking or picnic lunching.

A few green features of the hotel stood out. The desk in every guest room is made out of recycled materials and only green cleaning products are used to clean the rooms. Made from 100 percent natural materials, the beds were super plush and comfortable – no compromises necessary here to be green and natural. After a peaceful sleep, I headed to the hotel’s restaurant for a satisfying breakfast made with organic ingredients.

At the end of my two-night stay, I was well-rested and my need to be green was also satisfied. I saw that the hotel was truly striving to be green in a meaningful way. Conscious Hotels is a fairly new Dutch hotel chain that deserves credit for doing their part to make the hotel industry more environmentally responsible while making tourists more environmentally conscious.

Tips For Working Out In Hotels

If you are not a fan of gym workouts, try making use of outdoor locales around your hotel that allow you to stay active. Check the area for parks, trails, or recreational areas where you can walk, run, play sports, or engage in other outdoor activities. You can exercise even if you are staying in an urban area that doesn’t have many park areas. Go for a walk or run through local neighborhoods using a fitness tracker app on your phone to make note of how far you go.

Most hotels have rooms that are large enough for basic workouts, so bring some exercise DVDs with you on your trip and use your laptop or a DVD player from the front desk to follow along with your favorite workout. You don’t even need DVDs to do a room workout, though. Streaming services provide access to exercise videos on your laptop, tablet, or phone, so you can always find a routine to fit in during your trip. If you don’t have a membership to a streaming service, try searching YouTube for free workout videos that can help you stay in shape on the road.

Fitness Center

Many hotels have a fitness center or gym on the premises, so it is easy to work in a couple of miles on the treadmill or 30 minutes on the elliptical each day, even if you are on vacation or a business trip. If your accommodations do not offer their own fitness center, check with the front desk to see if there may be a deal with a nearby gym that allows you to get a discounted day pass during your stay so you can work out each morning before you head out or in the evening after you have returned from your daily activities.

Saving Money on the Best Hotels and Apartments

  • Look around the marketplace for special deals and offers on the top luxury accommodation. They do exist and for various reasons. They can sometimes save you a huge amount of money over paying the standard prices.
  • Where possible, try to look at moving your holiday dates to periods where the schools are not on holiday. Although it might be a little distasteful, it’s a commercial reality that many hotels will put their prices up by huge amounts at times in the year when they know the kids are on holiday and families will be looking for their holidays. If you don’t have children, you may be able to take advantage of this because at other times of the year their rates may be much more reasonable.
  • Don’t always believe the asking price on the Internet. Contact the accommodation agent, explain your budget position and ask them if they have any options. You may find that they have some special ‘under the radar’ deals they may be able to offer you because they are trying to fill unexpected gaps in their bookings due to cancellations etc. Don’t feel inhibited – you lose nothing by asking.
  • 4. Be prepared to sacrifice sea views. Some hotels may offer a standard room charge and ask for a supplement for a sea view. Some may not and in the case of the latter, you may be able to ask for their price for a room looking inland.
  • Ask questions about ‘all-inclusive’ deals. These sometimes include everything you can eat and drink in the initial price but if you only consume in moderation it might not always be the apparently stunningly good deal it appears. Ask instead for a room-only or B&B price, if they do them. You may see a substantial reduction.
  • Question the number of bedrooms you need in an apartment. Sometimes paying the extra for one of your children to have their own bedroom might be an unnecessary cost if they could instead sleep on the couch. Of course, you may need to take into account their age and any occupancy rules and regulations that come with the apartment.
  • Consider whether you really need to be directly on the beach. Luxury accommodation is luxury accommodation, even if it is say 800 metres away from the sand. The walk to the beach might be good for you and it might also result in you saving a lot of money on ‘first line’ locations.

In other words, don’t give up on that dream too easily!
